Omega 3 Fish Oils

The human brain is 60% fat and 1/3 must come from essential fatty acids.

Omega 3 (Alpha-linolenic acid ALA) is an essential fatty acid which the body cannot produce and therefore must be present in our diet.
In the body the omega 3 is then converted to EPA and DHA

CAN THE FISH YOU EAT SUPPLY YOU WITH THE REQUIRED OMEGA 3 FISH OILS?
The main sources of omega 3 are oily fish such as salmon, mackerel, sardines, herring and fresh tuna. Sadly though many of these fish contain high levels of pollutants such as Dioxins, PCBs and Mercury and the risk to our health may outweigh the benefit.
Therefore to avoid this risk it is necessary to supplement with omega 3 fish oils which are free from contaminants like Mercury.
Most fish oil supplements available on the market may not be pure or the oil may not be extracted in a manner to preserve all the benefits. Many fish oils on the market are chemically modified to produce artificially high levels of these fatty acids.
We have sourced the market and can offer you the best and purest quality omega 3 fish oils available.

Omega 3 is also found in certain plants such as flaxseed, pumpkin and walnuts. Therefore instead of fish oils we recommend omega 3 and 6 organic flaxseed oil supplement.
However certain groups of people such as the elderly, diabetics, or people with schizophrenia whose body may not be able to convert the omega 3 (ALA) to EPA/DHA would need to take fish oil supplements.

Omega 3 supplements are best taken with food.
